Training on new information technologies, use of modern software packages for modeling and analysis of various acoustic processes and signals of various nature, processing of acoustic images is underway. Within the specialization there is an opportunity to get knowledge about network technologies based on CISCO NetAcademy.
Graduates work in design departments for the design of converters for various types of environments (State Enterprise “Kiev Research Institute of Hydraulic Devices (State Concern” UKROBORONPROM “),” Ultracon-Service “); in companies providing acoustic design services, on information security issues (Security Service of Ukraine); research institutions and companies for the analysis of sound signals of various nature.

Specialization “Acoustic monitoring, bio- and psychoacoustics” is primarily devoted to solving the problems of the emergence, transmission and perception of sounds. It includes musical acoustics, which studies the creation of musical sounds (acoustics of musical instruments, acoustics of speech and singing, electroacoustics); the transmission of sounds (architectural acoustics, audio coding in transmission channels) and the perception of sound (psychoacoustics – acoustics of hearing). As part of psychoacoustics, students learn fundamentally new ways of working with sound through computer music technology; develop acoustic systems, create new means of transmitting spatial sound information for digital broadcasting, television, and sound recording.
Much attention is paid to computer modeling of human hearing and speech systems as the basis for the development of new generations of hearing aids and hearing aids. In addition, students review current and highly sought-after modern noise reduction methods in cities, study noise and vibration sources, exposure to noise on the human body, technical, sanitary and environmental noise regulations, acoustic environmental monitoring and acoustic expertise. Not all aspects of bioacoustics are left out of the question, namely: studying the voice of animals, marine bioacoustics, echolocators of bats and dolphins, protection of airplanes from birds by sound, protection from rodents through ultrasound.
Graduates work in institutions for the development and maintenance of acoustic medical equipment (diagnostic ultrasound devices (U.S.), hearing aids (almost all diagnostic centers of Kiev)); concert halls, theaters, recording studios (for example, sound engineers at film studios, theaters), TV channels (M1, STB, ICTV); in the design departments for the analysis of acoustic and vibrational properties of materials (State Research Institute of Building Structures).
